Rehabilitation did not always determine applicant eligibility under the vocational rehabilitation grant within the required period or properly document extensions to eligibility periods. For six of 40 applications reviewed, Rehabilitation was late in determining eligibility or did not document extensions in accordance with policies. Rehabilitation has processes in place to monitor the timeliness of its eligibility decisions; however, these processes were not effective in identifying and correcting these eight exceptions. |
