60-Day Agency Response

Sacramento State developed and implemented a campuswide Student Safety Training (Interim) policy that requires departments to have students required to wear PPE sign student safety training acknowledgment forms to demonstrate that they have received proper laboratory safety training. This policy will remain in place until the adoption of a permanent policy to be approved by the Faculty Senate and other stakeholders during the 2018-2019 academic year.

California State Auditor's Assessment of 60-Day Status: Pending

Although Sacramento has issued a policy requiring departments to have students sign student safety training acknowledgment forms, as it noted in response to Recommendation 47, it has not yet developed the student safety training acknowledgment form. We will re-assess Sacramento's response to this recommendation after it has developed the student safety form.
