Recommendation #46 To: Channel Islands, California State University

To ensure the health and safety of students in a laboratory setting, Channel Islands should work with appropriate faculty to develop student safety training acknowledgement forms by June 2018.

The campus has developed a standardized student laboratory form (Lab Safety Rules Documentation Form), as well as a process for completion of the forms. The form includes a comprehensive list of general safety guidelines that are applicable to all academic departments involved in laboratory activities. The form can be used in tandem with program-specific forms currently utilized.
