To more effectively provide oversight of its chemical plan, Sacramento should annually evaluate its chemical plan for effectiveness and document the results of that evaluation, including its discussions of any recommended revisions.

6-Month Agency Response

Sacramento State's Environmental Health and Safety office completed and documented an evaluation of the campus's chemical plan. The results of the evaluation (including recommended revisions) were provided to the campus's Executive Safety Committee (ESC) and discussed and accepted at the ESC's September 2018 meeting, as reflected in the meeting minutes. The campus will repeat this process on an annual basis.

60-Day Agency Response

Sacramento State will annually evaluate its chemical plan for effectiveness and document the results of that evaluation, including its discussions of any recommended revisions. Completed evaluations will be reviewed by the campus's Executive Safety Committee (ESC). The campus Environmental Health and Safety office is in the process of creating a plan for annually evaluating the chemical plan and of conducting an annual review of the chemical plan for 2018. The campus Environmental Health and Safety office will report on the 2018 review to the ESC in September and annually thereafter.
