What is the position?

As a Graphic Designer, you work as part of the in-house creative design team of the California State Auditor’s Office producing graphics for audit reports. You also work on special projects, such as the development of promotional materials, manuals, internal and external web design, internal forms, and presentations. The position requires you to possess excellent graphic design skills, the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, and to understand and utilize the process involved in planning, designing, and producing high quality graphics, publishing, and HTML.

The California State Auditor is part of the merit-based California civil service selection system. The civil service selection system consists of two simple steps: exams and hiring. The most qualified candidates will be contacted by early January to schedule an interview. Interviews are anticipated to be conducted in early to mid-January. Background check and job offer is anticipated to occur before the end of January.
